HyperSleep didn't detect my sleep correctly. What can I do?
Sleep detection is most accurate when the phone is left on the bed or nightstand and not picked up during the night. If detection consistently misses your sleep, make sure HyperSleep has the Activity Recognition and Usage Access permissions granted, and that battery optimisation is disabled for the app. You can review all permissions in HyperSleep → Settings → Permissions.
Why does HyperSleep need the Accessibility Service?
The Accessibility Service is used only to detect which app is currently open so HyperSleep can show the lock screen when you try to open a blocked app during a sleep session. It does not read your screen content, capture text, or transmit any data. See the Privacy Policy for full details.
What if I have an emergency and need to use a blocked app at night?
HyperSleep includes two override options on the lock screen. Quick Break gives you 5 minutes of access and adds 30 minutes to your sleep goal. Full Override ends the current sleep session immediately, but the app you unlocked will be blocked for 24 hours the following day. You'll never be permanently locked out.
The foreground notification disappeared and sleep tracking stopped.
HyperSleep needs to keep a foreground service running to track sleep reliably. Some phones aggressively kill background apps to save battery, especially Samsung, Xiaomi, OPPO, Huawei, and OnePlus devices. To prevent this, find HyperSleep in your phone's battery settings and set it to Unrestricted or Don't optimise. The exact path varies by manufacturer. If you can't find it, email us with your phone model and we'll guide you through it.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed entirely through Google Play. Open the Play Store → tap your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → HyperSleep → Cancel. Cancelling during the 5-day free trial means you won't be charged.
Can I use HyperSleep without a Google account?
Yes. HyperSleep works fully offline and does not require an account, sign-in, or cloud connection. All your data (sleep history, settings, blocked-app list) stays on your device.
